PJ Davis—Program Director (Peninsula)

PJ is a graduate of the College of Charleston (Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education) and Cambridge College (Master of Education in School Counseling). Although she has lived all across the country as a veteran military spouse of almost 30 years, she calls Hampton Roads home. Her 19 years in Education have been divided between being a classroom science teacher and a middle school counselor, spending most of those years with Newport News Public Schools.

Driven by the essential belief that everyone flourishes through connectedness and belonging, PJ has spent her career sponsoring numerous clubs, mentoring new teachers and counselors, serving in leadership roles within the school, helping to create and direct programs for college-bound and military students, and forging relationships with community members. She joined YVCHR's staff in August of 2022 to implement the pilot year of our Service Through STEM program in Newport News Public Schools. After serving as the YVCHR’s Director of STEM Programs for a year, she has transitioned to our Program Director for peninsula programs.
