No kid should have to sleep on the floor. Grab your work gloves and protective eyewear and help us make beds for kids in the Hampton Roads community.

Priority will be given to youth who live on the Southside (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake) and have not participated in this project in the past. This is a stipulation set forth by our grant funder for this project. Thank you for your understanding.

Location: Francis Asbury United Methodist Church at 1871 North Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach

Details: Youth will work at a variety of work stations set up in an assembly line fashion to build twin-sized bed frames for children who are in need of a bed. Stations include sanding, hole marking, hole drilling, head board and foot board assembly, staining, and branding.

Youth needed: 20-25

Special Considerations: Youth must be at least 12 years old. Safety glasses and work gloves are required.

Organization being served: Sleep in Heavenly Peace is an organization dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need.
