Location: Deer Park Baseball Fields

Details: Youth will serve as baseball buddies and assist Challenger athletes as they play a game of baseball. Volunteers may help with batting, base running and defense. While this is a baseball-themed event, the emphasis will be more on having positive interactions with Challenger athletes than on mastery of baseball skills or “winning.” Youth must be very attentive to their buddies, prioritizing their safety and fun.

Youth needed: 15-20

Special Considerations: Youth will need to dress for the weather as the project is outdoors; please also wear comfortable, athletic clothing and athletic shoes.

Organization being served: The Little League Challenger Division® was founded in 1989 and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges.
