Come learn about animal rescue and the road to recovery for both wild and domesticated animals!

Location: YVCHR Headquarters in Newport News

Details: Youth will learn from rehabilitators of wild animals, as well as those who operate local rescues for pets. Youth will complete several projects in the YVCHR office to support the efforts of these animal welfare organizations as they work to help our animal friends recover from illness, injury, habitat loss and/or traumatic home situations.

YVC Day is the first Saturday of March each year. The YVC International Youth Advisory Board develops a unique theme for the year. Each of the 40 affiliates in Canada, United States and Uganda holds a project on YVC day that relates to the theme. The 2025 theme of “Road to Recovery” gives us a chance to delve in deep to tough situations and learn how we can lend a helping hand.
