Help keep our waterways clean!

Details: Youth will wear waders (provided) to go into the water to collect shells and cages for cleaning and measuring purposes.

Location: The location for this project is in Suffolk (Burbage Landing). Exact address will be emailed to those who register.

Special Considerations: Wear items that can get wet or dirty; gloves will be provided. Personal electronic devices should not be brought to this project unless stored in a waterproof bag.

Organization being served: The mission of the Nansemond River Preservation Alliance is to raise public awareness and encourage environmental stewardship of the Nansemond River, Chuckatuck Creek, Bennett’s Creek and their tributaries and wetlands by developing and implementing programs and initiating collaborative actions with individuals, businesses, civic organizations and governmental agencies.
