Give thanks for Thanksgiving by giving of your time on Fresh Food Wednesday to those experiencing food insecurity.

Location: The Gathering at Scott Memorial Church

Details: Youth will be helping to distribute to-go Thanksgiving meals to those experiencing food insecurity in the local neighborhood. Afterward, youth will help to clean up the space.

Youth needed: 10

Special Considerations: This is a drive thru format so food will be placed in the trunk of the cars. Masks and gloves will be worn by all volunteers.

Organization being served: The Gathering at Scott Memorial Church is the only fresh food pantry in the Virginia Beach area that is open to the public after working hours. They serve the working poor and are helping an average of 300 households per week.
