It is winter planting time and Local Roots Garden needs some youth volunteers willing to roll their sleeves up and get dirty. Youth will be planting winter squash and pumpkin seedlings. If there is enough time, youth will also help prepare a plot for corn.
Youth will need to wear a mask for the duration of this project. A screening process will be set up for check-in with temperature checks and a health assessment will need to be filled out for the garden as well. Even though we will be outside, we also kindly ask that you avoid travel and exposure to crowds for two weeks prior to this project for the safety of our host organization, other youth, and our staff.
