Recycled Cat Toys - VIRTUAL PROJECT - WAIT LIST

We made toys for dogs so now it is time to show some love to the kittens.

Youth will need reliable internet access and a webcam in order to participate in the Zoom call. The Zoom link will be provided via email to those who register for the project using the online form.

On April 29th, a few minutes before 1 pm, simply click on the project link from a phone, laptop or PC. If you have never used Zoom, it will ask you to download the software. It will take a couple of minutes, so keep that in mind and plan accordingly. Youth will need to enable their webcam and microphone so they can interact during the call. Be sure to test the audio capabilities on your device prior to the project, and consider using headphones to avoid distractions.

During the call a Team Leader will lead youth through a quick icebreaker, a service-learning activity, and then give instruction on how to make the 3 different recycled cat toys that will be donated to the SPCA. See list below for materials. Participants will work on their cat toys during the Zoom call (so hands-free devices are best!).

At the end of the call, information will be given as to how additional service hours will be awarded and where to drop off finished toys and any dog/cat food donations.
