Details: Volunteers will be involved in community conversations centered around responses to community violence. YVCHR Team Leaders will also be in attendance. Food will be served!
Youth needed: 10
Special Considerations: Youth signing up for this project should be residents in Newport News, and can be in middle or high school.
Organization being served: CBN will address the need to reduce gun violence by increasing engagement of the grassroots champions, city sectors and partnering with city departments, community-based organizations, businesses as well as other key stakeholders. As a community, if we can change our responses to community violence, mental health concerns, adverse childhood experiences, and substance misuse/abuse, we can change the impact of our experiences.
